Sound Design, Mixing, Field Recording ー Short Film (29 mins)

A short film exploring the disappearance of sounds from a woman's secluded life, and the strange visitor responsible for their theft and distortion. Premiered at Ishinoko Festival, Japan 2026.

This short film premiered at Ishinoko Festival 2026 tracks the degradation of both hearing and sanity of a woman living alone in the forest. Sounds are swallowed, distorted and regurgitated by a mysterious visitor, appearing in dreams and waking life.

With no traditional scoring, the natural sounds of the world were manipulated and warped to create an ominous and oppressive atmosphere. To maintain a cohesive sonic experience, I managed the recording, sound design and mixing of all the environment sounds as a single process.
